On the 7th of February 2023, we took our Year 1 and 2 classes on an amazing trip to the Look Out Discovery Center.

The Look Out Discovery Centre is a fantastic facility where children can explore the world of natural science, technology, art, maths, and engineering. Through a variety of different exhibits, our pupils discovered new topics which they wouldn’t normally learn in school.

Throughout their visit, our pupils further developed a wide range of skills including communication, team working, problem-solving, and many more. They enjoyed playing with the trucks, building boxes, and all of the science exhibits. They also tackled numerous hands-on activities which really put their minds to the test. For example, they successfully completed jigsaws of the human body! They enjoyed playing with the trucks, building boxes, and all of the science exhibits.

Speaking of the human body, years 1 and 2 loved studying all the different skeletons. Some pupils were even brave enough to handle some animal skulls. The children found the workshops very interesting but the animal themed ones were definitely the highlight.

At Mountford Manor, we thoroughly enjoy offering our pupils opportunities to explore their favourite subjects in a new and fun way. Trips such as this one are an excellent opportunity to grow a passion for learning; which we hope will continue to build in our pupils far beyond their time with us.
