Last week, ten pupils from year 5&6 made a special trip, organised by Mr Jones, to a girls football tournament in Swindon.
With many making their footballing debut, the girls impressed with their confidence and ability!
Sports at school help pupils get active, expending excess energy, developing healthy habits, and helping them concentrate in class. We believe it’s especially important for girls to be given the opportunity to practice competitive sports at school, just as boys have traditionally been encouraged to.
An inter-school football tournament adds the additional challenge of representing the school in public and with pupils from other schools. Our girls passed the test, making themselves and the school very proud!
