Year 3 & 4 Take a Trip to Coleshill with the National Trust

It’s a beautiful time of year, and it’s great to have the opportunity to explore the outdoors with our pupils!

Earlier this week, years 3 and 4 visited the Coleshill estate to work with the National Trust for a fun-filled day.

We started by taking a walk to the river Cole. The children loved paddling and doing some river dipping, before getting competitive with a game of pooh sticks!

In the afternoon, we explored the orchard where our pupils expanded their biology knowledge as we embarked on a bug hunt!

The orchard at Coleshill has some beautiful flowers growing, and to round off the day of activities, pupils made bookmarks using plants that we were allowed to pick.

Primary school should be a fun place to learn, and at Mountford Manor, we love offering our pupils a variety of activities throughout the year, especially when we get to go outside in the summer! We’d like to thank the National Trust for having us along, and all our pupils for representing the school so well.
