"Every Day Counts"
Mountford Manor Primary School seeks to ensure that all its pupils receive a full-time education that maximises opportunities for each pupil to realise their true potential. The school will strive to provide a welcoming, caring environment, whereby each member of the school community feels wanted and secure. All school staff will work with pupils and their families to ensure each pupil attends school regularly and punctually.
The school has established an effective system of incentives and rewards that acknowledges the efforts of pupils to improve their attendance and timekeeping and will challenge the behaviour of those pupils and parents who give low priority to attendance and punctuality.
To meet these objectives Mountford Manor Primary School has an effective and efficient system of communication with pupils, parents, and appropriate agencies to provide mutual information, advice, and support.
Pupils are expected to be in school every day. They can come into school at the following times:
|Year Groups||School Door Opens||Registration (Official Start)|
|Reception/Years 1 & 2||8:30||8:35|
|Years 3, 4, 5, and 6||8:35|
If a child arrives at school after registration. without prior arrangements having been agreed upon, he/she will be deemed late.
Registers close at 08:45 a.m. and arrival at school after this time, without prior approval or extenuating circumstances, will be recorded as an unauthorised absence.
Pupils arriving at school after 8:45 a.m. must enter through the main school office.
All absences from school (i.e. illness/late arrival) must be reported either by:
- calling the school (01793 536494)
- emailing the office ([email protected]) in advance.
Any unexplained absences will be investigated by the attendance officer through a telephone call home. Any unexplained absences will be logged as unauthorised.
