Mountford Manor Primary For Parents

COVID-19 School Status

Following the government’s announcement that pupils in reception, year 1, and year 6 should return to school, we will be reopening on Monday 1st June.

To ensure the safety of our pupils, their families, and staff, we are implementing a variety of measures. This includes splitting returning pupils in reception, year 1, and year 6 into two cohorts. Each cohort will be allocated two days to attend school — either Monday and Tuesday or Thursday and Friday — and parents will be given designated drop-off and collection times.

Within the school, we are preparing rooms so that children and staff can maintain social distancing guidelines and minimise any potential risk of the virus spreading. This includes establishing ‘bubbles’; small groups in which children and staff will remain throughout their days at school.

To find out more about our safety measures, ‘bubbles’, and your child’s return to school, please click the button below, where you will find answers to various frequently asked questions.

It is important to note that children do not have to return to school. It is entirely the choice of parents if they would like their child to return to school.

Every fortnight, we will be sending an online confirmation form to the parents of children in reception, year 1, and year 6. If you receive the form, you will need to fill in the details and inform us whether or not you want your child to attend school.

You can find more information about the online confirmation forms and confirming your child’s attendance in the FAQ section linked above.
